The candidate will conduct inventory audits, reconcile stock records, identify discrepancies and control gaps, ensure policy compliance and recommend improvements to strengthen inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

Description Heading
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Stock Auditor with 4–5 years of experience in inventory auditing, stock verification, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inventory audits, identifying discrepancies, ensuring compliance with company policies, and recommending process improvements to maintain inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic and surprise physical stock audits across warehouses, stores and distribution centers while reconciling inventory with ERP or system records.
- Review receipts, transfers, returns and stock adjustments; investigate variances and identify inventory risks or control gaps.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve inventory accuracy, internal controls and operational efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports containing findings, observations and actionable recommendations while maintaining proper audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with inventory policies, SOPs and internal control procedures; support internal and external audits when required.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations, procurement, finance and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies, monitor improvements and close audit observations.
- Mentor junior auditors and support the implementation of inventory management best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory auditing, stock control, warehouse operations, inventory valuation and internal audit practices.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for inventory analysis, reconciliation and audit reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication and report-writing abilities.
- Willingness to travel to warehouses, stores and other locations for audit assignments.
Educational Qualification
✦ Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
✦ 4–5 years of relevant experience in stock auditing, inventory control, internal audit or warehouse operations.
✦ Experience in retail, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or distribution industries will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, barcode and RFID technologies is preferred. Professional certifications such as CIA, CMA or an equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
